Fill in the gap

John Akers wrote:
“Where are the creative men and women, the writers, the artists, the filmmakers who will capture the imagination of our confused world in the name of Christ? Where are those who will expose by their work, those vanities and contradictions of our age and affirm with all the skill they can master, that only in Christ are the hidden resources of his wisdom and knowledge?

"Unless we communicate to our generation through the art forms that influence it, our convictions will continue to be judged irrelevant, unworthy of examination, by modern secular man. May God raise up those who will fill the gap”

This, I find to be brilliant and inspiring! Thanks to my brother, Harold, who sent it to me. Let us stand up! Let us be ones! God's Will will be done, I just pray we are willing participants, and not foolish bystanders. Let us be Christians or die trying!

If you're looking for some great Chrsitian writing, especially for kids (though I think I'll buy them just for me!) I recommend "Dr. Doctrine's Christian Comix" by fred Sanders (available from Amazon) and, of course, you can't go past Narnia. possibly the greatest children's books ever. A seamless blending of Christianity and fantasy. And now that the movies are being made (and made well!) they are sure to reach a whole new generation fo Christ! Well done, Lewis, well done.

Great work! A good inspiration is too frequently simply nowhere to be found. ;) Thanks for this.
